About 3 weks ago i was fishing and i had to walk down a stream in the woods i had no shoes on and before i left the area i noticed i had a leech on my toe and so i pulled it off. There was a bruise which was gone by a week but now i have a thumb knuckle sized bump on my toe that itches terribly..these symptoms are similar to sysmptoms seen in patients who have lime disease from ticks...could i have lime disease from a leech? and is there a cure for lime disease?The skin just appears red and warm and if i push down then it becomes white where the red is.

It sounds plausible until she continues: he does all of this by computer. Today my boyfriend and I went to the doctor where he was diagnosed with a straggling case of the flu and horrendous hayfever, yet his mother is refusing to allow him to take medicine. Instead, she assures him that Herbert has found out that my boyfriend has lime disease and after the "treatment" scheduled for this afternoon, he'll feel fine again. Now, I know this woman is out of her friggin' mind, but does anyone else out there actually believe this? Does anyone have proof for or against it? Should I just call the men in white coats to take her away now?PS: Yes, she is indeed paying Herbert. For my boyfriend's "check-up" and "treatment," Herbert will rake in $250, mere pocket change compared to the hundreds, possibly THOUSANDS more she's paid him to get rid of her cancer.
